I grew up in a small town in Arkansas where I spent many days of my
childhood on my grandparent’s farms wandering the woods, catching June bugs, riding horses, and fishing in the creek.
All of my Southern Blue are dedicated to my grandmother’s who taught me how to crochet, how to shoot a gun, the techniques of catching a dooblebug, and how to sew a quilt on a treadle sewing machine. I spent many hours in their kitchens learning to cook and can foods.
My grandmothers were always patient with me and taught me to enjoy the simple things in life. They encouraged my sense of adventure and created my love of all things country.
note – For those of you not from the south and do not know what a doodle (ant lion) is, you can go here an check it out.
